Mediação simbólica da ficção na compreensão dos efeitos refratários do real

Abstract

The main objective of this monograph is to approach the symbolic mediation of fiction in order to understand the refractory effects of the Real from the perspective of Psychoanalytic-semiotics. It formulates the problem of the Real disintegrating both the imaginary and the symbolic registers, the last two being the most familiar to audiovisual culture from which this study began. It is therefore worth reformulating the initial question of the research, which was: at what point does the mediating power of the imaginary and symbolic collapse in the face of the Real? In fact, due to the occurrence of a personal event, the initial questioning remains latent until the end to answer the hypothesis of the Real exceeding the imaginary and the symbolic making itself present to the subject in foreclosure, when something rejected by the symbolic returns to the imaginary in the form of hallucination. The justification lies in the performance of a scientific work whose clinical scope makes it worthy of consideration. The methodological procedures begin with the analysis of the film Arrival by Denis Villeneuve (2016) and the inquiries about the cinematographic imaginary in the work The Cinema, or The Imaginary Man by Edgar Morin (2014), the symbolic language of cinema, both of the narrative device and of the mise-en-scène. Regarding theoretical references, the aforementioned Morin served as a basis for understanding the imaginary and the symbolic, and the effects of the Real in the figurations of the three registers in their phenomenology. Thus, the structure was configured in a first chapter that addresses the anthropological imaginary from Freud and Lacan, a second that deals with the order of the symbolic from the cinematographic language and a final chapter in which a personal experience is reported seeking to establish connections with the fractals of the Real
