O corpo humano nos moldes da tecnociência e sua virtual configuração pós-natural versus dignidade da pessoa humana

Abstract

The theme of this research focuses on the idea of protecting the human body as the most valuable work of art, in the face of the results of the meeting between advanced technology and the search for overcoming humanism. It delimits the approach in movements guided by technology denominated trans-humanism and post-humanism. Thus, the human being is compared to a work of art in process of stoning to later be placed on a plateau of immortality, although for that it is necessary to manipulate beyond its exteriority also its nature. Starting from this presupposition, the problematic is thought under the values of freedom, equality and solidarity contemplated in the extension of the fundamental principle of the dignity of the human person. The general objective of this research is to highlight the technological and scientific potential of transfiguring human nature. For this, the theme will be introduced by the reflection about beauty as a symbol of human improvement and attribute of the dignity of the human person. The sense of beauty adopted embraces and exceeds the aesthetic notion. So beauty represents the natural perfection of human configuration. The study also emphasizes the effects of the inner beauty that makes up the individuality of being. On the other hand, the reflection continues on the human body in the molds of artificiality, based on technological and social evolution. From the technological and scientific power is emphasized the virtual configuration of the postnatural being, in the light of the consummation of transhumanism in favor of posthumanism. This scenario compromises the organic beauty and values of the dignity of the person as a human being. Therefore, the affirmation of a right compatible with the current dynamics alongside ethics is decisive. In short, the human being has the right to selfimprovement in order to benefit his health in order to live longer and with more quality, to ward off illness and physical limitations, and to promote his appearance, within a conception of improvement that promotes humanism. Because it is considered that breaking with humanism goes beyond the understanding of the human person contemplated by the protective principle of dignity.
