dc.description.abstract | Researches show that the Catholic Church has slowly been losing space in between other religions and its popularity has been decreasing by virtue of the scandals involving members of the institution in cases of pedophilia. Other than that, the fact that a lot of believers, do not live according to the word and praxis of Jesus of Nazareth, regardless their position in the ecclesiastic crew, becomes a huge obstacle for evangelization. In this sense, it is the theologian duty to find ways, on the track of faith and reason, not only for this holdups but also for other problems that strike the congregation nowadays. From a theological and philosophical perspective, this paper aims to rescue the virtue value of the free speech, to the constitution of the ethical being and the construction of an authentic and fruitful discipleship in our time. As the free speech, notion comes from the Classic Greek philosophy, before further studies in the theological point of view; it will be analyzed in the philosophical field, taking as references aspects of the life of Socrates, the Athenian thinker studied by the French philosopher Michel Foucault. In theological means, the free speech will be sighted taking into consideration the prophetic texts (Micah and Jeremiah) and in the terms: logos (word), ergon (works) and alétheia (truth) expressed in the Gospel of John. These elements are crucial to the return of the Jesus mastery, addressed in the Gospel of Marcus, as a way to be the, indeed, the fountain of inspiration for the restructuration of the pastoral and ecclesiastic life | en_US |
