    <link>https://repositorio.pucsp.br/jspui/handle/handle/46988</link>
Abstract: This work aims to analyze the curriculum of the Social Work course at the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC-SP) from the perspective of Black epistemologies. It starts from the understanding that the university is a space marked by power struggles and knowledge production, where certain voices are historically legitimized and others remain silenced. In this context, the work shows how Black women, by occupying academic space, challenge traditional knowledge structures and broaden the critical possibilities for interpreting social reality. As an analytical key, it uses the concept of "Outsiders Within," by Patricia Hill Collins (2019), to understand Black intellectuals who construct science from their situated experiences and their lived experience on the institutional margins. This perspective allows us to understand the contradictions in the formative process in Social Work, especially regarding race, gender, and class relations, and the challenges of building professional practices committed to social transformation. From a methodological standpoint, this research, based on historical-dialectical materialism, engages with Black epistemologies, allowing for a critical analysis of curricular structures and institutional dynamics. The documentary investigation focused on the 2022 Pedagogical Project of the Social Work Course (PPC) at PUC-SP, mapping and analyzing syllabi and bibliographies, identifying the presence/absence of Black authors. The results show that the productions of Black intellectuals are frequently marginalized, situated in supplementary bibliographies, and do not occupy a central role in the curriculum, remaining concentrated in specific disciplines. This points to limitations in critical training and the consolidation of anti-racist practices, highlighting tensions between the ethical-political project of Social Work and institutional practices. The study proposes that valuing orality, ancestry, and Black writing be central to broadening the formative horizon and strengthening professional practice, thus offering essential tools to confront institutional racism and promote a sociability committed to social justice

    <link>https://repositorio.pucsp.br/jspui/handle/handle/46986</link>
Abstract: This dissertation investigates the relationship between the so-called fourth wave of feminism and the forms of political participation of women workers subjected to the 6x1 work schedule, seeking to understand how recent transformations in contemporary feminism affect their experiences as women in the world of work and in political activity. The study is justified by the need to articulate feminist debates with the sphere of labor, overcoming fragmented approaches that separate gender, race, and class, as well as by the relevance of the theme in the context of intensified labor precarization in Brazil’s service sector. The research is guided by the assumption that, although the fourth wave of feminism influences the political formation of these workers, such influence occurs in uneven and contradictory ways, mediated by material living conditions and by the historical determinations of capitalist social relations. Theoretically, the study is grounded in Marxist feminism, with emphasis on Social Reproduction Theory, which understands women’s oppression as a structural dimension of capitalism, articulated with labor exploitation and the reproduction of social life. Methodologically, the research adopts a historical-dialectical materialist approach and a qualitative design, based on individual semi-structured interviews with five women who work or have worked under the 6x1 schedule and maintain links with feminist collectives or movements. The findings indicate that the 6x1 work schedule functions as a concrete mediation of intensified exploitation, physical and mental exhaustion, and restrictions on political participation, while simultaneously fostering, in a contradictory manner, processes of collective organization and resistance, in which feminism emerges as a relevant, though not homogeneous, reference in the constitution of these women as political subjects

    <link>https://repositorio.pucsp.br/jspui/handle/handle/46984</link>
Abstract: Family foster care is a social protection modality that aims to provide a safe and welcoming environment for children and adolescents temporarily removed from their biological families. This research aims to analyze the work with biological families in Family Foster Care Services, focusing on the realities of Foz do Iguaçu and São Paulo. The choice of these locations is justified by their sociocultural and structural differences, which allow a comparative analysis of foster care practices and the challenges faced by families in distinct contexts. The methodology combines qualitative documentary and bibliographic research, as well as focus groups with service professionals. Institutional documents, such as reports, case files, and service network maps, were analyzed to understand the profile of biological families, the reasons for foster care placement and discharge, and the follow-up provided after children leave foster care. Data were interpreted through content analysis, identifying patterns and gaps in service practices. The findings indicate that, although Brazilian legislation, such as the Statute of the Child and Adolescent (ECA) and the National Plan for Family and Community Living (PNCFC), emphasizes the importance of family reintegration, biological families still face significant challenges. Neglect, the primary reason for foster care placement recorded in the 2023 SUAS Census, often reflects social vulnerability rather than intrinsic family failure. The research also revealed that, in many cases, biological families are perceived as "problems" by services instead of being recognized as part of the solution. Furthermore, after children leave foster care, follow-up by the social protection network is limited, especially in cases of termination of parental rights. The study concludes that strengthening the social protection network, adopting systematic follow-up methodologies, and valuing biological families as rights holders are essential to ensure the right to family and community living. This research contributes to the debate on Public Policies, the System for Guaranteeing Rights, and professional practices in the field of family foster care, proposing strategies for a more humanized and inclusive approach
