Abstract: His dissertation presents a comparative philosophical-theological analysis between Saint Augustine and Paul Ricoeur, with an emphasis on the categories of time, memory, interiority, narrative identity, ethics, and hermeneutic phenomenology. The objective is to clarify convergences and divergences between the authors and demonstrate the relevance of their contributions to self-understanding in contemporary times. Methodologically, a qualitative, hermeneutic, and comparative approach is adopted, drawing on primary and secondary sources: in Augustine, with particular focus on the Confessions; in Ricoeur, on the works Time and Narrative and Oneself as Another. The structure is organized into three chapters: exposition of the central categories in Augustine; presentation of Ricoeur’s intellectual trajectory and his hermeneutical project; critical confrontation regarding narrativity, aporias of temporality, memory, the enigma of evil, and subjectivity. The analysis demonstrates that narrative mediation, as formulated by Ricoeur, reinterprets and updates Augustinian intuitions about time and interiority, offering conceptual tools for readings of self and world with ethical and practical implications. It concludes that the dialogue between both reinforces the relevance of narrative for self-knowledge, responsibility, and sociocultural coexistence, contributing to studies in hermeneutics, philosophy of religion, and theology

<description>Título: Deus habita esse espaço?: (Sl 47,9) o ciberespaço como um lugar teológico a partir do Documento de Aparecida
Abstract: This dissertation presents a theological and pastoral reflection on communication in light of the Church’s tradition and Magisterium, with particular attention to the understanding of cyberspace as an authentic theological locus. The research traces the Church’s historical relationship with communication, from the Tridentine period to post-conciliar developments, especially within the Latin American Episcopal Conferences, culminating in the Document of Aparecida. Through a historical-critical and synchronic analysis, the study reveals the Church’s evolving understanding of communication as a constitutive element of its evangelizing mission. Digital culture, far from being merely a technical tool, is interpreted as a new anthropological, symbolic, and spiritual environment. Integrating insights from the theology of communication, Vatican II ecclesiology, and pastoral praxis, this work underscores the challenges and opportunities of the digital environment as a space for listening, communion, and the proclamation of faith. It ultimately affirms the urgency of a critical, ethical, and evangelizing presence of the Church in the digital age

Abstract: This dissertation presents a theological and pastoral reflection on youth in the light of Pope Francis’ Magisterium, seeking to understand the challenges and possibilities of a truly evangelizing, participatory, and transformative youth ministry. Grounded in the conviction that young people are protagonists of the Church’s mission, the study develops a methodological path that integrates listening, discernment, and action, in harmony with Francis’ call for a Church that goes forth, is synodal, and incarnated in reality. Structured in three chapters, the research articulates the reading of ecclesial documents, theological and empirical analysis of youth reality, and the proposal of concrete pastoral paths. The study reveals youth as a true theological locus where faith is renewed and the Church’s mission expands. By integrating theory and practice, it proposes a youth ministry that unites faith and life, spirituality and social commitment, overcoming assistentialist models and fostering missionary co-responsibility. In summary, the dissertation points to the need for a synodal, prophetic, and transformative youth ministry capable of renewing the Church from within the lived experience of young people in faith, hope, and mission.

Abstract: This study aims to develop ecclesiological guidelines for evangelization today based on the thought of the Brazilian Jesuit theologian Father Mario de França Miranda. Its main focus is to analyze institutional hypertrophy in the Church, understood as the disproportionate expansion of structures and mechanisms of control that ultimately overshadow the institution’s original purpose, which is evangelization. The theological root of this phenomenon is identified in the pneumatological deficit of the Western tradition, in which the Holy Spirit, the Church’s “coinstituting” agent, was historically reduced to an instrument for institutional preservation. This process fostered clerical centralization and the consequent passivity of the laity. From this perspective, the formal research problem was formulated as follows: based on the work of Mario de França Miranda, how can the synodality currently under construction serve as a corrective to institutional hypertrophy today? In other words, to what extent can his theological reflection contribute to addressing the problem of a Church hypertrophied in its institutional dimension? Using a bibliographical review as its methodological approach, the study identifies synodality, strongly reaffirmed by the contemporary magisterium, as the principal theological and pastoral antidote to the present crisis. Understood as the concrete expression of the Church as communion, synodality restores the co-responsibility of all the baptized and reintegrates the pneumatological dimension as the central axis of ecclesial life. Accordingly, the study highlights the role of an adult and active laity, the formation of presbyters in a synodal key, the strengthening of small ecclesial communities, the implementation of permanent participatory structures, and the preferential option for the poor as an essential dimension of the Church’s mission. In summary, the legacy of França Miranda demonstrates that the Church’s renewal depends on its ability to overcome rigid structures, open itself to the Holy Spirit, and embrace synodality as a permanent path of communion, participation, and service
