<description>Título: As Palavras-Alma na obra de Kaká Werá Jecupé
Abstract: The Palavras-Alma are the foundation of Guarani cosmology. Transmitted orally from generation to generation, the Soul-Words were transcribed, translated into Portuguese and printed in books by the indigenous writer, researcher, educator and therapist Kaká Werá Jecupé. In their original form, the Palavras-Alma compose chants that are part of elaborate rituals to reveal the Soul-Name of "the one who stands up". When transcribed into texts, the Palavras-Alma were written with the intention of "standing up" the ancestral values of indigenous cultures outside the tribal context, keeping the Guarani tradition alive in the face of the advances of civilization on indigenous Brazilian societies

      <link>https://repositorio.pucsp.br/jspui/handle/handle/44113</link>
Abstract: The life of Edith de Magalhães Fraenkel (1889-1969) can be considered a reflection of Brazilian nursing at the beginning of the 20th century and, to some degree, of today’s nursing as well, for this hard-working, dedicated nurse was both a well-meaning entrepreneur in the health field and, at the same time, a hostage to a system. To carry out this research, we drew on material from bibliographical surveys and, primarily, from two original documents: Annais de Enfermagem, published in May 1932 and October 1934. In these, E. Fraenkel describes her purpose and how nursing was being developed. In this study, it has been possible to develop a critical analysis, not of Fraenkel's work in itself, but of its relationship with the dominant influences affecting medical science at that time, specifically that the paradigm of illness was apparently placed in focus in a somewhat complex way. It is thus possible to see that we are experiencing today the consequences of a previous period, which is being reflected in our current generation of nurses. Visiting the past therefore raises questions about the true purpose of Nursing

      <link>https://repositorio.pucsp.br/jspui/handle/handle/43923</link>
Abstract: This paper addresses the ideas and work of William Bateson (1862-1926), as well as his defense of the development of a new science of living beings, Modern Biology. Through the study of Variations, Bateson proposed the formulation of new principles and methods that would be, according to Bateson, in accordance with the new modern knowledge that had been developing since at least the 17th century. By determining, through experimentation, the nature and manner in which expressions would be inserted over generations, Bateson believed it was possible to establish universal laws that would govern living beings and could explain the evolutionary mechanisms responsible for the change in the forms of living beings. To substantiate his ideas, Bateson made important defenses of works by other scholars who demonstrated the possibility of formulating the “new science of living beings”, inserted in Modern Science. Based on population studies and using mathematics, especially statistical treatment, as a method, Modern Biology would be responsible, as Bateson desired, for the abandonment of Natural History

<title>As origens do pensamento científico segundo Mário Schenberg: elementos junguianos</title>
      <link>https://repositorio.pucsp.br/jspui/handle/handle/42880</link>
<description>Título: As origens do pensamento científico segundo Mário Schenberg: elementos junguianos
Abstract: Mário Schenberg, in his book “Pensando a Física”, proposes that one of the possibilities for the origin of scientific ideas is the theory of the Collective Unconscious by the Swiss physician and psychologist C.G. Jung. Jung formulated his theory based on the analysis of his patients' dreams and compared them with elements found in ancient alchemical treatises. Furthermore, in correspondence with Richard Wilhelm, he discovered that many possible answers to his questions were present in a Chinese alchemical treatise linked to Taoism. It is expected that by the end of this work we will be able to establish the relationship between the origin of scientific ideas and Jungian thought on the Collective Unconscious
